About Stichting Seva Europa

Stichting Seva Europa is an independent Dutch foundation, established in 2026 and headquartered in The Hague. We exist to address avoidable blindness amongst the world's most marginalized populations by building sustainable eye care systems, supporting research, and developing local capacity in the regions where we work.

Our envisaged programs span Africa, Southeast Asia, and Eastern Europe. We work directly with local partners, health systems, and communities, and selectively collaborate with peer organizations — including Seva Foundation in the United States — on a project-by-project basis.

To serve the public benefit and, without an aim for profit, achieve a world free of avoidable blindness amongst the world's most marginalised populations.

Building Sustainable Eye Care Worldwide — creating equitable access to eye care, building capacity of new and existing eye hospitals and programs, investing in quality, and developing new technologies to expand the reach.

Stichting Seva Europa is governed by a board of directors with expertise in ophthalmology, public health, and nonprofit governance.
