Privacy Statement

This statement is being finalized with our legal counsel; some details (such as specific service providers) may still change.

This notice describes how Stichting Seva Europa ("Seva Europa", "we" or "us") processes your personal data. We are an independent Dutch foundation established in 2026 and registered in The Hague (KvK 42071667, RSIN 869577360). It applies when you interact with us through our website, make donations, sign up for communications, take part in campaigns or events, engage with us on social media, or otherwise communicate with or support us. It also describes your data-protection rights and how to exercise them.

Data you provide to us directly:

  • Identifiers & contact informationname, address, postal code, email address, country of residence
  • Donor & contribution informationdonation amount, frequency, and date
  • Payment detailspayment method, transaction reference
  • Communication informationemails, contact-form submissions, inquiries and other correspondence
  • Event & campaign dataevent registrations
  • Social-media interaction datapublic profile information and interactions when you engage with our social-media pages

We may also receive limited data indirectly — for example, confirmation and transaction details from our payment provider when you donate, and public profile or interaction data from social-media platforms.

We use your personal data only for the purposes and legal bases below, and share it only with the recipients described.

To process donations

To comply with legal and regulatory obligations

Legal basis: Legal obligation (e.g., tax law)

Recipients: Governmental bodies and authorities, such as tax authorities

To manage event registrations and participation

Legal basis: Necessary to perform a contract with you, or to take steps at your request before a contract

Recipients: Our staff and any event-registration tools we use

To manage and respond to social-media interactions

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in managing our public presence

Recipients: The social-media platforms on which we maintain a presence

To prevent and investigate fraud, security incidents or crime

Legal basis: Our legitimate interest in protecting our rights; and/or legal obligation

Recipients: Courts, regulators, law enforcement and other authorities where required; external legal advisers

Where we transfer personal data to countries without an EU adequacy decision, we put appropriate safeguards in place, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can request a copy of the relevant mechanism using the contact details below.

You have the following rights over your personal data:

If you have unresolved concerns, you may complain to a data-protection authority — in the Netherlands, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens — in your country of residence or where the issue arose.

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected for, unless a longer period is required by law. Data processed to perform a contract is kept for the duration of the relationship plus any applicable limitation period; data processed for marketing is kept until you withdraw consent or opt out, plus a short period to action your request.

Our website currently uses only the strictly necessary cookies required for it to function, and does not use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies or trackers. If we introduce non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent (where required), provide a cookie banner, and update this notice.

We may update this privacy notice from time to time, and will provide a new notice when we make substantial changes.
